Tony Silva Guitar

After over a decade of learning to perform some of the most beloved music from Spain and Latin America, I am releasing a CD of original music based on these traditional styles.
If you are a fan of the Gipsy Kings, you will not want to miss this as most of the music on the CD is in the style of Rumba Flamenca.

I also live stream on my guitar page:

Under normal circumstances Tony Silva plays at the Burgundy Brook Café in Palmer every Sunday 9:30am-12:30pm. He also plays monthly at Sláinte in Holyoke and the Inn On Boltwood in Amherst.

For a list of upcoming performances please visit my calendar of upcoming events.

Silva has been playing acoustic guitar for over 40 years. Early influences range from Stephen Stills to Andrés Segovia.  His father Pedro Silva was from Chile, and passed on the love of the music of the Andes Mountains to Tony.

As a solo performer, Silva specializes in Rumba Flamenca (the style of the Gipsy Kings).  He also plays a wide range of music from Latin America, and transcribes flute and harp music from the Andes for guitar. His repertoire includes rumbas, waltzes, boleros, and huapangos with songs from Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Paraguay, Peru, Chile and lots of Gipsy Kings!

He is known for his steady presence at holiday fiestas and folklórico performances in Easthampton and Northampton. He was the house musician at La Casita Azteca for 9 years and at ConVino for 4 years. Silva’s mentors include Pepe Gaytán from Austin, Texas (Flamencura), and Alvaro Sánchez Olvera, a friend and collaborator in Rumba Flamenca.

Tony Silva is available for weddings, parties, corporate functions or anyplace that needs a festive atmosphere.
