Come learn the art of traditional Venetian carnival mask making. Create a Commedia dell'arte classic or star studded, feathered parade mask. In this 4 day process we will make casts of our faces to create molds, which we will use as templates to make paper mache shells. We will finish the masks with paint, cloth, trim, feathers and jewels. Your completed mask will fit your face perfectly. For ages 12 and up.
Tony Silva is a 4th generation artist who has been using masks in dance and theater performances since 1987. Tony has been a professional musician, dancer and sculptor for over 20 years.
He has taught mask making since 2003.
